Any experience working with gourds?

A couple of months ago, I picked up these long necked gourds that were very straight. They are drying real well. I was hoping on making a flute with one and an Uilleann chanter with the other. The bore is slightly conical but almost cylindrical. They should be long enough to be made in the key of E.

Any ideas, credible or otherwise (please state which)?

Any experience working with gourds?

I used to work with a Gourd. Can’t remember his last name. Gordan Lightfuss, or something like that.
