would be fantastic if someone knew which maker made this flute.
Looks like a standard 1920s “Nach Meyer” to me (minus the tail cap).

And yeah, I’d say it’s an anonymous German nach Meyer. Could be a good one, but they’re a crapshoot.
I got one just like it. It might be better as a lamp. I hope yours plays better.

I’ve had 3 of these (I think) and none of them were worth a … darn, yeah, that’s it darn. One is in pieces in its case as we speak - after I got it disassembled, I realized it wasn’t worth fixing. Only paid $30 for it though - the case is worth that.
All that being said, however, I have heard that some of these are real players, so maybe you got lucky! Why not just play it and see? If not you, get a woody-fluter to test it for ya. Don’t use one of those silver-flutey player though, unless they’re acquainted with wood. The embouchure is different enough to give a false impression (one way or the other).

Looks nice enough, but I haven’t ever played one that I thought was a keeper.
That said, the old guys played some great music on these crappy flutes.
The case itself isn’t worth much more than $25. If that.
Wasn’t it already repaired (or remade?) before? The holes seem to be too large for a standard Nach Meyer - almost of “English” size.
