An "electronic whistle" does exist, and I have one

I totally agree and a side effect of this is that a newbie is forced to learn a good fingering. I bough one of these and my fingering on the whistle has improved too. You might get away with a less than perfect fingering on a whistle but that’s definitely not the case with the Technopipe.

Technology lurches ahead, dont it? If the basic concept works, it will only be a matter of time until they can provide a way to do taps, cuts, rolls, etc. sufficiently so you can work on them.

Think of the possibilities, you can tootle all day at work, instead of getting on the internet, drive the wife mad because you sit there intently for hours with no sound coming out, and thoroughly enjoy yourself with this thing.

Avanutria, now you need to go over to thesession.org, and stir them up a bit with your new toy.

Haha, no thank you, I’ve visited that hornet’s nest a long time ago!

Taps and cuts are no problem, I can only do a couple of rolls but that’s due to my limitations rather than the whistle’s.
