Alba F for free

:astonished: Yes thats true.
You can win one just now ,well not just now but soon as there is a wee compo goin on at http://whistlenstrings.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=325&st=0&p=4614&

:sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
And if anyone is thinking of buying Walts low D the fipple can be made as good as new with some metal polish an elbow grease

Well, after a few tries, I’ve decided the registration form hates me.

I have the same problem

I couldn’t do it either.

It would help if the form gave some sort of clue as to which field it thought you had entered incorrectly.
Three email address fields seems excessive.
The colours are unsympathetic and the typeface threatening and paranoid.

I don’t want your whistle any more.

(
Hey! I feel a song coming on!
I don’t want your whistle any more

Same rhythm, but the opposite emotion!

Ahem
she did say, “You can win one just now ,well not just now but soon
”

After 6 or 7 trys - I thought I was going crazy - then I read the rest of the posts and am relieved I can cancel my psychiatrtrist appointmet(for today anyway)

I’ve had the same trouble. I tried signing up on that forum a few weeks ago and gave up – all sorts of registration hassles that I just couldn’t resolve.

Walt

Sort of makes you wonder if they’re really giving away a whistle or just harvesting email addresses. Hmmm

you don’t think you’ll win, because you don’t think that you successfully entered
but, if baiting the whistle community was your goal and your form was designed to ask for a valid email address several times, you’re done. Why bother with the whistle?

Maybe the server is busy or the form is poorly written. Yeah, probably that’s it.

Well, Stacey’s forum has been running for some time now, so I doubt the ulterior motive is to harvest e-mail addresses or harrass the C&F crowd – though I appreciate a good conspiracy theory. :stuck_out_tongue:

I suspect the trouble stems from an oddly configured system. I can’t recall exactly what problems I encountered, but I vaguely remember getting to the page where I could seemingly create a user account, and then clicking a “submit” button like mad, only to be returned to the same page (with no account created).

Never submit! :sunglasses:

Or something.

Walt

Well now, Stacey used to be an avid poster here on chiff&fipple, I do believe she means what she says, and that the signing up thing is just a bit screwed, she’ll look into it fast, I’m sure.

Yeah, I really am just kidding. I like a good conspiracy theory myself sometimes. Besides, an Alba is on my short-list of ‘needs’. Firstly I need to pick a key and then I need to pick a pocket. Sooner or later, I’ll have an Alba
G or A, A or G or F
dang!

If we didn’t already know Stacey, that might be a worry
but I don’t think Stacey’s into that kind of foolishness.

there have been on and off again issues with the registration process.

Stacy has a web link,
her web link has a contact page

ya might want to send a Name and password for her to use
if ya decade to go that way

Stacey’s board is legit, if a little slow-moving.

Sorry you guys have been having problems.
If you :astonished: I have been trying to sort out this problem for awhile now :boggle: we have had lots of probs with spamers who never seem to have a difficulty getting in :imp:
send me a pm here or email me as denny says
