It’s that time of the year again - details of this year’s weekend as follows :
2024 Aberdeen FluteFling
The “FluteFling” returns to Aberdeen with classes in all the aspects of playing mainly Scottish traditional music on flute [ both “simple-system” and keyed “Boehm-system” ], and whistle, and a series of sessions .
Tutors this year are CLAIRE MANN, SHARON NEWTON-CREASEY and FREYA RAE.
Guest speaker will be flute-maker GEORGE ORMISTON.

Guest speaker : George Ormiston
Evening session with short performances from the tutors, The Blue Lamp
