ISBN 0312274920. Insanely funny.
I loved this book, made even more real for me when I went into Matt Molloy’s in Westport, and Neve was serving behind the bar, and Matt was playing his flute in the back room session. One of the two sisters I was with had been to school with Neve. It’s a small world after all.
Sadly, Tony’s two books since, “Playing the Moldovans at Tennis” and someother, have not even induced me to pick them up in the bookshop. I guess it was the Irish connection, not the fridge, that interested me.
