Christmas Day, 9.00 PM Irish time ( 1 o’clock west coast US, 4 o’clock east coast US):
"Just to let you know that there was a special 40th Anniversary (of his death) “Ceili House” programme in honour of my dad recorded at RTE on Thursday night last.
The pipers who played were: Nephew Kevin, Paddy Maloney, Liam O’Flynn, Peter and Joe McKenna, Gay McKeon. They were also interviewed about being taught by my dad etc. All played solos except Gay and Peter who played as part of the Pipers’ Club Ceili Band. I played my dad’s favourite slow air “Her Mantle So Green” - learned from singer Margaret Barry.
