I’d post the carol I wrote a couple of years ago but I never wrote out the melody. I just play the chords and sing it but I’ve never taken time to figure out what notes I’m singing. Maybe I’ll get around to doing that before Christmas this year 
Very nice, Walden. I was especially touched by the last two stanzas, which really put the ideas within reach and added a personal touch. I remember how different the joy of Christmas felt to me after I had known the joy of my own babies’ births: the hope, the deep belonging, and that loopy over-the-moon happiness. I struggle sometimes during the holidays, resenting the commercialization and the values it represents, and this was a lovely reminder to open up to the joy and hope of children. Thanks for it!
