Really great. And I also vote for diagonal (cross) chords if possible.
Well done Michael!

At this time, just the cross chords, there just isn’t room to do much more with any accuracy on the small screen. I am thinking about possibly providing an option to allow a choice on the top AC set to switch between playing AC or GC, since I find that more useful for many tunes.
Thanks, I figured that might be the case. So now your job is to design an app that will work on the Amazon Kindle: much bigger screen, closer to the spacing of real regulators ![]()
(I know there’s no app store for the Kindle, I’m just kidding. But there are also rumors flying about that Apple will be coming out with a tablet-like device with a much bigger screen, similar in size to a Kindle, so if that happens you could do an app for that!)
Awesome!
You are going to make the vPipes jealous.
Fantastic Michael!
Will version 1.1 include a bass reg? ![]()
Here’s the final user interface:

I am so totally blown away. Awesome stuff Michael! ![]()
Sounding great. My vote for App of the year.
Once it is up this is something NPU should put in the mag.
Definitely a buy for my Ipod touch.
How about a tuning slider on ver 2.0 so B and D pipers can use it, too?
Whoops. Missed the video about pitch changes.
Even better.
Michael you are more than welcome to quote me for the app discription. I can’t wait to put it on my wifes i-touch and take it for a spin. (although I already have a full set it seems like it would be fun either way)
Thanks
Dr. Eric
Absolute GENIUS!
Congratulations, and thank you, Michael!
Finally settled on a price of $2.99 when it gets on the iTunes App Store.
I may do a free version with all the playing features enabled, but only in the key of C# so that people can try it out and make sure it works on their device before purchasing the full version.
Michael,
Well that does it, since my wife and kids all have iphones they can’t deny me mine now…can they? ![]()
Great work!!!
This about sums up how I feel.

Hey John.
I have an old iphone that you could acquire real cheap.
You can use it like an iPod Touch.
Brilliant work Michael.
In addition to the love and admiration of your fellow man, you’re just about due for some kind of lifetime achievement award.
Cheers,
Patrick
Just submitted both 3QuarterSet and 3QuarterSetFree to the iTunes App Store!
The free version has all the features as the paid version, but only supports the key of C#. Those of you with a C# chanter, rejoice! ![]()
Hopefully, I didn’t do anything stupid and Apple will quickly approve both apps and get them up on the store in the coming days.
Cheers,
Michael
Sweet. $2.99 is a real Bargain for something like this IMO. Fantastic work!

Woo hoo! ![]()
Apple recently introduced a new, quicker approval system so I hope it passes soon.
I also hope it makes it onto the Japanese store - most apps do.
Here’s the final version that I submitted to Apple for the App Store. With any luck it will be approved in the coming week or two:
