3/4 set or full set?

i’d like to buy a new set of pipes..i can’t decide between a 3/4 set or a full set..any advice? i’ve never had a set or regs.
what’s the best choice for a Regs biginner? straight bar or bend one? is the bass drone so important at the biginning?

If you have the money, go for a full set. But if you’re just beginning to learn the regs, a 3/4 set should keep you occupied for a few years.

There’s a separate thread on the bass reg bar question. But bear in mind, some makers don’t offer an option.

Better to get used to a bass regulator now than to try to get used to it after you’re not used to it. You will get used to a straight or bent bass reg. Just get the best set you can afford, and tune it 'til you drop.
