YouTube clip seach help. Beautiful Reg playing

A few weeks ago I came across a YouTube clip from I would say a North American Tionol. It was of a man (mid thirties) with a beautifully tuned set of pipes, playing a march style tune on a tionol stage.

The tunes effect was amplified by its reliance on excellent regulator playing; and towards the tunes completion, with the tune played on the regs whilst the concert chanter played a sustained G. It was not The Castle of Dromore. The player quietly walked off stage having finished playing.

I can’t find it now. Can someone lead me back to it?

Thanks

BINGO!

Rory and Michael, thank you!. It is he. T’was the concert version I heard first, but how great to hear it on a flat set as well. GREAT stuff.

Something to aspire to… we all need a challenge

Love seeing someone give the regs a good workout. This is the most unique and oddly most ignored part of the instrument.

.

This was my interest, with such good playing. And in particular, Padraigs ability with his use of his right thumb, and great tunes, so well played.

The flat set version gave a particularly good view of regs being played.

I am a huge fan of Brian McNamara’s playing, but it was the detail being shown in Padraig’s clip, having been first grabbed by the tunes he played, that led to me asking for help.

There are others; Mikey Smith and his contribution to a Dutch Tionol comes to mind. Mick O’Brien and May Morning Dew playing too, but The Armagh clip shows some unusual detail, as well as some great playing.

it grabbed me.
