…maybe it’s hard to avoid in the heat of battle, but there is a distinct scene of a man with his hands up in the air clearly giving up before he is obliterated…
It sucks.
It’s not just the heat of battle, it’s the point of view. The ordinance clearly was coming from some source other than the aircraft that was filming the scene - the ordinance was appearing from the right and behind (from the perspective of the camera) the car - and quite likely from too far away and at the wrong angle to see that the man was surrendering. Even if the spotter doing the filming tried to abort the fire he would have been too late, especially since at least some of the arriving ordinance was rockets and those were probably launched before the guy even bailed out of the car.
(Edited to correct - the ordinance was coming from the left and behind the car - I guess that’s why they made me carry a brick in my left hand in boot camp.

Showing this kind of stuff just inflames and encourages the enemy - they never seem to learn the real lesson which is that you can’t shoot at me one moment and raise your hands the next - me and my buddies are already going to be in full response mode. Historically battlefield surrenders, even of small units, have taken hours, sometimes even days, to implement.

Yep. A video with lots of 'splosions and people getting shot.
It’s a really, really slow loading video. I’m on cable modem at home and usually don’t have any pauses for buffering, this thing downloaded so slowly it would play a couple of frames and pause, play a couple of frames and pause, etc. 'Might be why I had time to notice where the fire was coming from in that last scene…
