When I was in Ireland, I picked up a recording of Sean Ryan (“Take the Air”). I’m just wondering what your opinions of this musician/album are.
Excellent whistler, very original style.
Sean Ryan is a great whistle player. I had the pleasure of taking a workshop from him during Willie Week. He didn’t teach us his style though. Fun to hear him play, some quick tonguing.

Some of the tracks in that album are IMO one of the best whistle tracks ever. Definitely one of the most interesting playing styles, uses lots of tonguing, and in a good way i think.
