That is a whistle… it’s just hard to tell from the resizing.
I picked that one only because it was at the best angle. Plus, it goes nicely with her widow’s weeds.

I thought it was a Loh Dub. The mouthpiece looks different than the Abell’s I’ve seen. Although it could be the angle of the picture.

Kids in Britain used to taunt each other by saying ‘Your Mum’ whenever a dog was heard barking(!).
Apparently,this caused so many fights at one school that the Headmaster BANNED the phrase!
The ever inventive kids got round the ban by simply mouthing the letters ‘Y..M.’ to each other whenever said canine made an utterance. 
And here I thought this was a pre-emptive Mother’s Day thread.

Here in the US, high schoolers use it as an answer to questions they don’t know the answer to. Mostly just to each other.
