Your first Low D

My first low D was Susato which is easy to play and no fingering problem for me, a tone i like and it is very light. I have quite a few recorders and it doesn’t sound to me like a recorder which normally have a darker and tighter sound than whistles.

My next will be OVERTON and i can’t wait!!

My first low D was one of those cheap Indian Pipolas; I only played it for about a week before I got my Susato in the mail. I have had no problem covering the wholes or anything like that, and the bottom D is pretty easy to hit. The “hrm” sound that people complain about only really comes through on the lower notes, and I don’t really see how it sounds like a recorder.
