That was the oscar-nominated song from Cold Mountain, written by Sting and performed by Allison Krause. Its a new composition, so there won’t likely be any free sheet music, but you can buy it numerous places, including:
Or you could get the CD and try to learn it by ear, but it seems like a pretty complex piece to me.
One creative activity I sometimes do is improvise melodies based on lyrics. Most of the time the improvised melody will stray a great deal from the original, but often times the new melody is a pleasing one. Of course this isn’t what the original poster is looking for, but I find it to be an interesting game to play. For this song, the tag line is one key to the puzzle. There are dozens of melodies that will match those words, but finding a magic combo is the trick.
