You too could go from newbee to superstar in 15 months.

A year ago last Christmas I picked up my first whistle, and this St. Paddy’s day (Sunday) I’ll be playing on a float. Try doing that with the piano.

What a laugh. Our “band” (called “F Troupe”) will play the only song we do decently, and we’ll play it over and over and over and over. The parade moves at high speed, so the audience will only get a few seconds of us…which is plenty. We all get a big chuckle out of it. “Real” musicians were distainful of the opportunity, so we get to be famous…and there’s a free case of Jameson in it.

Tom.

Will play endlessly for Jameson.

A CASE OF FREE WHISKY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Sign me up.

I quote: "Our “band” (called “F Troupe”) will play the only song we do decently, and we’ll play it over and over and over and over. "

But tell me laddy, what are you going to play?? I wanna know what song all by its lonesome is worth a case of liquor. Actually, I have a housewarming party to go to on Saturday night and my dear hostess is actually expecting a tune, hopefully something that won’t put the rest of my drunken co-workers to sleep.

Loup

Hey, it’s more than playing a tune. We have to go downtown on Saturday for a sound check, then again on Sunday for the parade. But it’ll be worth it…I hope.
