30 years after quitting to found Queen with the late Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May has finished and now published PhD thesis in astrophysics.
Yeah, astrophysics. Big deal. Can you believe the sustain on his guitar?

That’s guy’s a great guitar player. Congrats on his non-musical accomplishment.
I missed the whole Queen phenom, though I obviously heard a few of the songs. Then I saw the concert at Wembley Stadium doc that they show on public teevee just last year I was blown away by that concert, by that band, and by that guitarist.
I wish their studio stuff had been more like their live stuff. I often just couldn’t get by the over-the-top production, layers of sound and all that. It really hid how talented the guys were. God, Freddie could sing, and, yeah, Brian could play a guitar.
