Yet another Lost Generation

Greetings to one and all,
I bought a Gen D a few weeks ago just to see how lucky I am. Well needless to say I did not get that one out of a thousand Generation that is actually playable. Yesterday I took to a’tweekin’ and needless to say I completely ruined it. (is it possible to ruin an unplayable whistle- I’m not sure) Luckly I still have many playable models left (none of which I’ll be a’tweekin’ I can assure you) so all I’m out is about $8.
Anybody want to share a whistle tweekin’ horror story?
Whistlebinkie

I tried to tweak a Waltons not long ago and butchered it.

If you screwed up the mouthpiece, save the tube. On your next order from the whistle shop (which should be very soon, and spend lots of money there), order a LBW mouthpiece for $3.50 and transplant it onto your Generation. It will probably save it. The only Gen I have is a nickel G and I don’t think it needs any tweaking at all, so I must have gotten a good one. But it’s so…small.

I buy several at a time because I ruin so many while tweaking. The tweak that ruins more than any other is the toothpick in the windway. I get them stuck at an angle in there, blocking the air, and can’t get it out again.

Thanks for the info C-Berry,
I just ordered 3 LBW mouthpieces from The Whistle Shop so I’ll be tweak-ready. Of course I couldn’t spend $7.50 on shipping for a $3.50 mouthpiece so I HAD to buy a couple of whistles too.
Man, how I love them whistles!
