One could not describe them as taking the GHB world by storm without some risk of terminological inexactitude.
Personally, I’m not sure I see the point of them, but to each their own.

Looks and sounds like a cross between a clarinet and a pipe chanter. I wonder if its as difficult to get a steady tone as a GHB practice chanter (?).

Clarinet or sax reed on a tube.
I’d bet an oboe reed would give it more of a ‘pipeish’ sound.
Which in turn is just a duduk…

Well… the oboe reed is narrow and should give a quieter more refined sound and your eyes won’t bulge out as much as a duduk!
‘The duduk with the bulging eyes’. Sounds a middle eastern sort of a tune to me

Hmm…an instrument with a rich, mellow tone that sounds an octave lower than a Highland pipe chanter… What about a drone? Are you supposed to hum while you play it?
Why doncha just get a set of smallpipes instead?

Or, perhaps, that colleges and universities are “fraught” (someone need an English teacher . . . ?) with educated individuals and that those who attain higher education and are prone to thinking about the environment they live in tend to wax liberal because they realize that the conservative agenda just doesn’t solve problems (and keeps creating more)? Hmm.

Come on Tommy… enough already. I really like you as a piper. We can discuss the politics over a pint but not here dude. While we may have differing viewpoints I just get sickened to hear yours here…its bad karma. My views will sicken others as well, I dont think we should be making politcal statements here because its not the place for free and open discussion of politics and I love talking politics, religion,etc. I believe in free speech but we’re talking decorum thats all.
