WTB: Antique and damaged flutes

Hi list,

I’m in the market for antique flutes from one to x keys, any pitch and key and wood and maker. I am also looking for old flutes in need of restoration, mainly for studying them and do repair jobs, but also to have access to a wider range of flute types (I only have one single Pratten).

Let me know if you have something I might be interested in.

Kind regards,
Gabriel

That’s generic…
I mean, you CAN’T be interested in my cheap and old german flute with two nice cracks (filled with beeswax), a broken key and the others that works but not well (of course the silicone pads should be replaced with real pads)…

Okay, exclude german "nach Meyer"s from that. I’d take a real Meyer, though.

Aw man… my ol’ Nachy was hoping to receive a little love and attention!

I have one of those, but it is already restored… I will see what I can come up with Gabriel, I have a lot waiting for attention! I just have to make sure that it is mine first… :boggle:
I take it, you will be wanting a 8 key? whole pile of those… English make, of course. Oh, and I reckon that you would not want any ivory rings, as there could be issues with customs?

Eight-keyers would be cool, yep. I’d also be interested in tooters with fewer keys, though, if they’re not un-repairable. And you’re right about the ivory.

Oh sure, Jon, and you put a little ivory ball on mine just so it has to stay in the country?

Kevin Krell

Just break off the ball at the airport…

Gabriel check your email… hurry.
