Are they good flutes
A question to Miller Browne owners.
Wtb: 5 or 6 keys?
Is A=440? If not, does the tuning slide help?
All I can say is that they seem to sell a lot of them, many people seem to use/have them, but it is a marching band flute. I have no personal experience, but have been contemplating buying one myself.
Here’s a sample.

Guys, what do you think about Clifford Rae flutes? Are there any owners?
So, I got myself the aulos , thank you guys for your advice!
I kinda enjoy the system, the next flute is probably an 8-keyer…
Don’t see the picture
Yeah, that is exactly the one i have, but glossy. It’s chromatic, but the Fs are sharp, so you have to blow it down, that is tricky ( the trickiest part is to stop pressing the air on the notes around Fs). The sound is quite strong, i expected it to be weaker.
Over all, I can recommend that flute to anyone who needs all the semitones and doesn’t want to spend a fortune. Cheers.
Sounds good! Congrats! I am contemplating getting this one for quite some time now…
