I’m looking for a chanter top with the following spec:
- Made of OD 3/4" brass or brass and boxwood
- At least 6 inches long (excluding the air-intake)
- Mounts or stopper of art-ivory or pale coloured wood (boxwood or maple)
- With or without stopkey or mounts for stopkey
- Preferrably goose-neck (swan-neck) design but would consider a side air-intake design if the intake is set sufficiently high on the chanter-top (à la Taylor Bros).
- The air-intake must have max OD of 10 mm.
The chanter top is for a C chanter, which is why I want it at least 6 inches long - a smaller chanter top looks disproportionate on the long flat chanter. It needs to be brass or brass & boxwood as the C chanter is made of Greenheart (looks like boxwood) and a dark wood chanter top would look odd.
