I could use an ID on this one please folks. Picked it up from an MP3 I have, where it’s played after The Musical Priest.
I know the tempo’s shot to buggery and I’m playing it too slow - only got it worked out a few days ago, so it’s gonna take a while to get just so.
But yeah, if you can put a name to it, I’d appreciate it.
I believe it’s The Queen of May. I have a Chieftains recording where it’s played with The Musical Priest.

Sounds like we’ve got the same recording. Gotta be Matt Molloy on the flute innit? I’d thought it was the Bothies, but I can see that it could be either.
It’s the Chieftains 1 - and I wouldn’t guess as to who’s playing it - but both tunes on the track are some incredible playing, IMHO. My hat’s off to you for learning the tune!
On my chieftains 1 album cover it has Michael Tubridy as playing the flute.
