WOOOOO finally got my Burke!!!!

I finally got my Burke and learning the whistle is lots of fun!
What is the point of this thread you may ask? Well there is none but I’m just very excited and having fun playing this instrument so I thought I’d tell you’s!!!

They are pretty exciting out of the box, especially if you have only ever played Gens or such. They are often the first whistle buy-up for what might become a lifetime of whistle acquisition. Player-friendly and mighty shiny too. Congratulations.

I think most on C&F understand the feeling of getting a whistle and wanting to tell others about it.

I hope you enjoy the Burke. Happy whistling.

congrats, that is a great whislte. i hope you have great luck playing it.

Yes, recently, my WhOA runneth over.

My lovely wive got me a Burke for Christmas. A DBSBT. A way gooder whistle. A week or so ago, I bought a Seery delrin and Dixon Trads in Eb and D. Now I feel guilty. They are all very good players. And none of them get enough time. Nor does my trusty old Copeland, or the scads of other “favorites”

Oh WhOA is me…  :swear:  :stuck_out_tongue:

congrats, what a wonderful whistle that is. i hope you have fun.

i’m lovin the instrument but the D note is my enemy atm…half the time it squeaks or hits a higher pitch!!! practice makes perfect i suppose is the correct quote to put in here…

Good luck. Breath requirements often take a little bit to figure out on new whistles.
