Wooff C set for sale?

As opposed to all those sucky GW sets that come up for sale.

I’ve heard it, it is a nice set. Was a nice set. Will be. Whatever.

Stuart

I’ve heard it too…but its been years. I was pleased to have the opportunity to confirm its PRESENT state for those who may be contemplating ownership.

I’m JUST teasing. I think Geoff’s nothing if not very consistent.

Your comments will certainly be appreciated by the potential owner. Mine will be written off as sarcasm. As well they should be!

Stuart

OK, did this set go to Alaska then?

I will ask Debbie this Saturday, my son and I go to her house for regular lessons, he on whistle me on pipes.

If it is the set I think it is, yes. Went to a very good young(ish) piper. He is a good reeder too.

Yes, it went to Alaska. I don’t know if it stayed there, however.

Interesting blast-del-past thread.

Vis-à-vis the comments about Debbie and keeping multiple sets going (three regs would definitely be enough, let alone six or more) . . . now that I’ve been back in Houston for a few years after my sojourn in Toronto, I have to say that I’m amazed that any of you Canucks can keep anything going. Or together, or not cracked.

I had a cocus flute with me and I was afraid that it would crack the whole time. It never did, despite being in my apartment with a low RH, then outside on the subway/bus to wherever, then in Loretto Reid’s house with a low RH, then back outside, then whatever. I bought a humidifier eventually but wow, so many different conditions.

Here, at least there’s just the 65-70ish% RH indoors and 95% RH outside. If anything looks dry just leave it on the porch for an hour or two.

Stuart

hmmm, if its who I think it is, then Tommy is right. Aren’t they all young(ish)???

Eh? what’s that you say? Speak up, sonny!
