Alison Lupton lives somewhere in that area. I think she lives in Cambridge. She plays flute and whistle and sings. She gave a performance here in London this past winter but I didn’t get to see her. There’s a guy with the band Nonsuch who plays fiddle, concertina and whistle. I’m not too sure where he lives though. Brad, the leader of Nonesuch, lives in Cambridge.
The fiddler/whistle/concertina player is a sweetheart of a guy named Matthew, but he’s currently living north of TO in some god-forsaken place like Vaughn/Richmond…
Moonlight, check out the Duke of Wellington in downtown Waterloo-there was a decent session there on Sunday nights (I’d call and check first) run by Les Starkey. Drop me a PM if you want more info.
Good to see so many Ontarians on the board(I vote to make Cara and duckrasta honourary S. Ontarians!!). Looking forward to meeting some of y’all in August .
Janice, God forsaken!!???!! Okay, Richmond Hill is boring, but Vaughan has got lots of rolling hills and horses and such. But if ya want a nice place come to Markham We have the largest small community ever!
Funny enough though it’s hard to find propane and propane accessories in this part of Ontario
Guelph is lovely!!! We now think of Guelph as a verb though. My bud Kurt Browning, in '93 I think it was, went to Guelph for a regional competition and did terribly poor! He had to qualify to go to Canadians, and he needed to have his routine practised in front of a crowd. So, Guelph was the appropriate place, I guess. Not sure if he actually landed a jump!! A four-time world champion almost beat by some local wannabe’s - it was actually very funny - though we’d never tell Kurt  Thank God he did end up winning though. And ever since(sorry 'bout this), if you screw up something you should’ve had no problem with, you’ve Guelphed!
Good beer in Guelph too, oh yeah, and home of the Griffons!
