Willie Wonka's Whistle

Last night, ABC television broadcast the old Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie. I watched it with the kids and, low and behold, Willie played what looked like a Generation nickel G when he wanted to summon the Oompa Loompas!

Did anyone else see it or is this one of those mystery things that only affects people dreading the return to work after the holidays?

I kept hearing it, you didn’t imagine it, but every time I looked up to see it, it had vanished!

I have it on DVD…I’ll check it out when I get a chance…

I’ve looked at it a couple of times and it appears to be custom made (prop?).

Here are some pictures. Notice it’s funky configuration. As an added note, he is definitely lip synching.

I think that’s a Ressikan flute…

If we only knew the makers name, we could search for it on Ebay. Because everyone knows… “If it’s not on Ebay, it doesn’t exist.”

Tis a Seuss made four hole sterling silver toogleflute borrowed from Cindy Loo Who.

I’d recognize it anywhere by the angles.
A real sweet instrument!

Edited:
I’m sorry, it’s the five hole model with possibly a thumb hole as well. (Even sweeter)
