Will provide loving home for a Lehart

Like so many of us, I’ve been caught up in the recent sales of breathtakingly beautiful flutes on C&F, ebay, woodenflute.com. I missed owning one by a hair. So I hope its okay for me to put out a request for my current dream flute in this posting.

My Mark Hoza ironwood needs a playmate. It’s a little surly and needs to be shown what a great low-D sounds like. It also likes to pretend it’s a different instrument in the higher register. It takes a lot of finesse to keep it even through 2 octaves. I think “Woody” would learn a lot from a Lehart companion.

If you write back saying I should practice harder to work out “Woody’s” kinks, you’re right. But what a joy it would be to find a friend for him. Having a flute that responds differently will also make me a better player!

I taught myself Irish flute in pretty solitary circumstances when I joined a band 3 years ago, and it’s been wonderfully eye-opening to take part the C&F community. I can’t count how many times I’ve been enlightened by C&F posts.

Thanks, Rich and Dale.
