Anyone know of any videos or recordings of any Whorfin whistles? I’ve searched the forum and all the links seem to have expired 
Any help would be appreciated 
I don’t have any audio samples, however, I do have a Whorfin purpleheart wood, tunable, high D whistle. I do have photos that may help. The whistle is an easy blower, light weight, with medium loudness. In particular the Whorfin whistle beak is very comfortable playing/resting on lower lip. Wood has that nice “feel” to it and when the whistle gets warmed up it sings nicely. I prefer wood whistles so there is some bias. The maintenance is minimal for all my wood whistles with a quick wipe down with almond oil. For the price the Whorfin whistle is a bargain. I was both impressed and very satisfied with the purpleheart whistle. As I have learned from C&F threads, different woods have differing attributes so I suggest discussing what you want with the whistlemaker.
(note: there are no cracks in the whistle just the grain of the wood and I was trying to show the true color of purpleheart in natural light)
Gorgeous! I’m getting one as a present from my girlfriend for Christmas. One in pear wood that has the lovely back story of it being a fallen branch in a friends garden Just can’t wait that long to hear/see it so I must satisfy myself with others! Thanks very much.
The Pear was my second choice. My purpleheart is second from left. As you can see it doesn’t show the wood/color very well, but, plays wonderfully thru two octaves.

I’m surprised any of these Whorfin whistles are still available. 
I know! if they’re still around when I receive my student loan I think I may go in for greedy seconds…
Student loan is supposed to be used for (ahem) education isn’t it? Besides, when you do have some $$$ that gift giver of yours will need the woman’s best friends in carats… big carats.
Not to derail the discussion from the rabbit the Washington Post named “the actor of the millenium” for the second millenium, but Olly’s request has gotten me off my tuchus to finally track down and upload some samples. My erstwhile flute teacher, Michael Lesley, laid these down at the end of one lesson in exchange for the whistle. It’s completely unprocessed. I’m not crazy how the Hammy jig turned out, but I think Swinging on the Gate is pretty representative of the sound I go for. The volume of these whistles is moderate – some might say “not session weapons”, others might say “you won’t piss off the others at the session.” Somewhere between a Feadog and a Susato.
In regards to the best friends, fortunately I’ve already got her present sorted 
I’m doing a music related degree so I can justify a new whistle as ‘educational’
