Whoa!

in the last 2 days, I’ve gotten 4 boxes of whistles!

That whole whistle trade thing has kicked my whistle excitement into high gear!

But also quite neat: Today I got a box in the mail from Japan…
a S.Z.B.E whistle!

Ken tells me that the letters SZBE are prononunced su zu bu e (or something like that, I have his email at home), which means “Tin whistle” in japanese…nifty

Looking forward to the reviews

D

Will wonders never cease! Looks](http://klick.hp.infoseek.co.jp/me.htm%22%3ELooks) like he’s a piper, too.

I am currently working on 4 overtons myself!!! :astonished:

Yeah, I got an Overton myself in the mad swapping…

I was pleasantly surprised

Evidently Irish music is really popular in Japan. Lots of Japanese sites link to my site. In 2002, I nearly got a job playing whistle for Disney Tokyo. They ended up going with someone else, but a year later, Disney called and offered me a contract. That was the same week I got the permanant programming job offer in Dallas, so I unfortunately had to turn it down.

A few days ago I got email from a guy I know in my other life. He had read my whistling blog and discovered I was interested in ITM. Turns out he plays flute and bouzouki in an Irish group in Argentina. We talked a little and he offered to send me a CD. I’m really curious to hear what it sounds like – it should be here in a week or so.

I am also on Whistle high gear I just today got the ones I traded for with Greg (the Jubilee and the Hoover) and a few days ago I got my Syn fullset and I am getting a Tipple Low C Flute soon also.

Yay!
