Who fluted w/ Tulla Ceaili band in the 70s?

I’ve got Come West Along the Road out from the library, and I’m curious about who’s playing flute.

Whoever it is has an ivory headjoint on his flute. Martin Hayes looks to be about 15, but he’s playing.

J.C. Talty I think. Could be JJ Conway, also on flute at the time, but I think it’s probably JC.

I’ll have a look again, but I suspect that Martin was a year or two older than this on the video.

JC was with the Tulla, playing the ivory headed flute from the late 60s (although he already played with them as early as 1963 for Peter O Loughlin’s wedding) and he stayed on for over two decades.

So then, Peter, is the gentleman playing left-handed standing in the back of the 1986 photo JJ Conway?

BTW, there’d still be a Wooden Flute Obsession volume 4 if I could get some of your locals to head to the darned studio!
