Hi just wondering if anyone has any links for someone that could repair my bass flute. It has a metal curved head which is tarnished and i would like chrome plated. It would also require keys being made and new needles being fitted. It is an H y Potter flute of london and i would believe to be early 1900s i would like it restored to its former glory,
Thanks in advance David
Have you checked with George Ormiston in Tarbrax, West Calder? I think he works on old flutes.

Failing that, Chris Wilkes is in Hereford, England, and he definitely does restorations. I think I recall the fellow who works with him being quite an expert on Potters.

Sounds like a neat flute, worth taking care with. Congratulations, and good luck!
