Whistling in the snow late at night.

The other night, New Years night, I was driving home from work. It was late, after 11pm, and it was snowing, so I decided to take the city streets home instead of the highway. It took forever, and I managed to play a few tunes along with my tape, a couple or so times while I was stopped at red lights.

There was no one on the streets, hardly, so I wasn’t too worried about getting rear-ended and having the airbag shoot my whistle through the back of my head. And I didn’t whistle while I was actually in motion.

But it sure was peaceful and quiet and beautiful out on the streets of Tulsa, watching the snow come down late at night on the first day of a new year and playing my whistle.
