whistles for sale

i have four whistles i want to sell. i have two kerry pros in d and two chieftans in c. will sell them for sixty dollars apiece. they are in very good condition i just don’t play them. i always wind up playing my cheap (and plentyfull) generations.

Welcome to the board. I’m just curious…why do you have 2 of the exact same kinds of whistle?

I have 2 Burke brass pro D’s, because I couldn’t handle it if something happend to one of them and I was stuck without one! :astonished:
Mary

Low or high?

That makes sense. I guess my mind travles the road that says ‘Why buy two of one kind whistle when you can have one each of two different kinds?’ LOL.

all four whistles are high.
kevin

They’re going to have to pass drug tests before you can sell them, I believe.

all four whistles are high.

Hi Kevin,

I received an email from Phil Hardy last year saying that his Kerry Pro whistles were only available in the keys of Alto F & G and Tenor D. Are you certain that the whistles you have are Kerry Pros?

Cheers,
Wes

wes, i purchased them from lark in the morning several years ago. that’s what the said they were. i wish i could tell you more but that all the info i have.

Hi Kevin,

I was going to suggest checking out www.kerrywhistles.com but apparently the site is down (too bad, there were a bunch of great video clips of Michael McGoldrick and others). The Whistle Shop has a photo of a Tenor D Kerry Pro on their site http://www.thewhistleshop.com/catalog/whistles/low/kerry/pro/kerry.htm if you were interested in comparing it with the style of your whistle. Kerry Pro’s are marvelous whistles, a friend of mine has one and I covet it on a regular basis! It’s too bad yours isn’t a tenor or I would definately be in the market, rumour has it that Phil Hardy isn’t making these anymore… but that’s just a rumour.

All the best,
Wes

Nope, not a rumor. That comes directly from Phil Hardy. He’s revamped the entire Chieftain line, and according to him, the quality and consistency of the new Chieftains is equal to the Kerry Pro, and therefore made it redundant.
