Which style are the Cooperman fifes, the traditional, or the concert fifes? How many holes?

Hi.

In keeping with our policies, please respond to this offer by email and not on the board.

Thanks!

Dale

Never mind…

Aren’t some of your prices…steep?

Aodhan

Why do people always do that? I mean if the prices are too high for you to be interested, that’s you’re call, but why get on someone about what they are asking for their instruments? No one has to buy, so why hassel the seller?

I just don’t get that, and it always happens when sellers try to get “Market Value”.

Loren

I was looking for a Sindt D at Christmas and offered Ben $100 (which I thought was more than fair) for one of his. We did not make a deal and I subsequently bought a Burke (which I love).

However he is entitled to ask whatever he wants for the instruments. Whether or not he gets it is up to the buyer.

Loren-

You really will bitch at just about anybody for anything, won’t you?

Aodhan

Actually, you’re the one who started bitching…at Fandango.

Loren

I simply asked why you and others have to bitch about price all the time.

Well, just trot on over to the flute forum and do the same thing. Hate to see you were picking bitching favorites or something.

Aodhan

Dhigbee and List:
The Cooperman’s are your basic 6 hole reeactment type fifes.

I’m with Loren on this one…one of the reasons I usually sell on Ebay instead of here is because so many folks are quick to jump on a seller based upon asking price, maker of the instument, etc.

edit: I notice on those “steep” prices, his sweetheart and burke whistles are about half retail price.

For what it’s worth (no pun intended), a new Sindh D sold a few days ago on Ebay for $137.50 plus 4.95 shipping.

Hi Mr. Fandango, just sent you a PM and an email.

To Aodhan and other pricing Police:
I’ll ask what I darn well please for my instruments! I’m not selling them for Humanatarian reasons!
If someone wants them and feels that’s a good price they’ll buy em, if not they won’t!
The world would be a better place without comments from peanut gallery people like yourself!
Hey I just put my work boots on, bend over and let me give you a good kick in the Butox!
Fondly Yours,
Mr. Fandango

  1. creative spelling
  2. spontaneous behaviour
  3. no unnecessary self-control
= another valuable member of “humanaty”

Claudine & List:
my reply was just a little levity. Claudine, the creative grammer and spelling was intentional(way over you’re head). In fact, I will give you a free Whistle if you can identify where the term " butox" originated (it was a movie)
Mr. F

Fandango, would that be butox as in “incontinentia”? Wife of Biggus?

Hmm, was it Forrest Gump? “I was shot in the but-ox” (If so I’ll take the sweetheart in D)

Jeff and Paul:
good guesses, close but no cigar! …the operative word is originated…
hint… this movie came out in the 50’s
Ahoy!
MR. F
PS Jeff, the give away whistle is one of my choosing!
