OK, I was just looking around at the Whistle Shop online catalog, and saw “Hoover” whistles, and now I can’t stop laughing. Every time I stop, my mind conjures up another image.
Ok, I have to stop thinking about this…

Yeah, what’s up with that, Mack

I’m hear a lot of hoover jokes, but Thom tops them all, and his are clean.
Imagine the jokes if Mack starts making uilleann pipes.
The Hoover ”Vortex" was a surprise gift from my wife and she really loves it when I play it for her! She doesn’t dislike the high pitched sound of my other whistles but she especially likes the deep, clean sounds of the “Vortex” and she enjoys it when I march around the house playing while she sits down and sips a cup of tea! So far her favorite tune is one from O’Neills Music of Ireland “The Absent Minded Man”!
Best wishes, Tom
Thom
Hmmm. I cruise your site fairly often, but I never saw that one before. Is this something special you’re holding out on us?
Leave it to Mack to come up with a wheeled whistle.
Thom, now that’s funny! LOL

It could be worse: J. Edgar Hoover playing a Mel Bay whistle while dressed in a evening gown with heels and a fur stoll. ![]()
I’m trusting Tony will have the taste to leave that as a mental image and not generate a composite image of this hideous
Now you really have to stop thinking about this.
I just love my Hoovers …but have yet to see any one of them vacuum the floor,Gm
Oh geez, I ordered the wrong model. I love my ‘A’ but had I only known about the Vortex sooner…sigh.
P-LEASE -
I’m a Professional that’s way too busy to bother with such trival images…

Ok, maybe just this once:

Gee Thom…I sure am sorry I missed our appt. back in May..haha.
I’m gonna get down that way yet. The way the summer is going..it may have to be on our way back to TX. Don’t give up! Gm
I could have gone my entire life without seeing that image!
Thanks Thom! ![]()
Thom,
My lawyers will be contacting you in regards to the suit I am filing for metal cruelty against you for posting that image. After seeing profeesionals in the field of mental well being I have been told it will take years and years of VERY Expensive therapy to get that image out of my mind.
Thom, I have been laughing all afternoon over these images. Now you just need to add sound files. I have the feeling that J. Edgar should be playing “Down by the Sally Gardens,” and I sure would love to hear “A Whistle on the Wind” played on the Vortex D.
And Mack, thanks for being a good sport. In England, your last name is also a verb, as in “I’ve really got to hoover my carpet!”

Aw, c’mon Ron, be fair. Thom wouldn’t have done such a thing had it not been for the suggestion from Mark, who’s the true culprit here. Besides, I intend to print it and send it to all the Republicans I know.
Just digging through the archives and thought this might bring a smile around:)A wee bit of C&F BB theropy.
