Whistle Workshop Oct. 26

I promised to be brief, so Moderator Rich OK’d this post:

Wendy Morrison, a most excellent musician and teacher from the DC area, will
lead two Irish whistle workshops–one for beginners and one for intermediate to advanced players–on Oct. 26 outside of Gettysburg, PA, about 90 minutes’ drive from Washington/Baltimore and a bit closer to Harrisburg, PA.

See the web site for more information.

Happy Birthday, Scott!

Wish I could be there and meet Wendy in person. Tell her I said Hi, and ask her if she’s playing any Klezmer on her Tulipwood whistle…

You betcha! I copied your post to her.

We would have loved to have you, but geography CAN sometimes be troublesome.

Drat, that’s the same date as the Catoctin, Music and Dance Weekend sponsored by the Baltimore Folk Music Society.

So I’ll be in the neighborhood, about 10 miles south of you.
Hm… must be somet’in’ in da air 'round dere come da end-a Octobers…

Hope you guys have lots of fun and …

Ohhhh, So sorry Lee. I was looking forward to meeting you. Maybe the next one!

I am so excited about going!

Thanks Marguerite for getting this set up! I’m looking forward to meeting you, and Wendy too!

See you on the 26th!

A Very Happy Kathy

Bumping this back to the top! Don’t want anyone to miss this opportunity!

I am bumping this again.

Has anyone signed up yet besides me?

I am afraid if nobody else signs up, It will be cancelled! That can’t happen! It’s the only chance I will have to go to a workshop.
Where are all the MAWhistlers?

Yoohoo! Calling all Mid Atlantic Whistlers don’t miss this chance!

Kathy

I really wanted to go, but I have a conflict that day. I haven’t been able to reschedule the other event, so no workshop for me :frowning:.

Tery

That’s too bad Tery,

Maybe we can talk Marguerite into having another one in the spring for those who will have to miss this one.

Kathy

I put myself on the yahoo list so I’ll hear about future workshops. Wish I didn’t have to wait, but so life sometimes goes.

Tery

Has anyone else signed up for this workshop other than me?

Is it still adhering to the REASONABLE PERSON PRINCIPLE to bump a post numerous times?

I really want this workshop to happen so Please forgive my repetition

Cheers,
Kathy

Yes, Kathy…I signed up for the workshop. I hope it flies…
Cheers.
Byll

That’s great Byll, I’m looking forward to meeting you.

If it’s just Marguerite, you,and I, it might not fly. Keep your fingers crossed unless of course your playing your whistle or dulcimer.

Cheers,
Kathy

It sounds great to me, and as a bonus my in-laws live very close to there (yes, I do actually like my in-laws). Unfortunately, though, I have a conflict that day and can’t make it. Maybe if they do schedule another one in the spring…

Hey Steven, I like my in-laws too! Only they live next door. Ha Ha

That’s too bad that you can’t make it to the workshop this fall. If there is one in the spring, I will be going to that one too. I am starved for whistle instruction since there is nobody near here that plays whistle. So, I will hopefully meet you in the spring. You can never learn enough ya know.

Best regards,

Kathy

I would absolutely love to make it to this workshop…if I didn’t work midnights, and if it wasn’t a 3+ hour drive…

I know, IF a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his a@#!

Oh Boy, Do I know what you are talking about! I will probably have to milk 120 cows before I can leave to get there and I am about the same distance as you Larry. It will be a very early morning for me!

Kathy

Kathy, you keep it up and you might twist my arm enough to see if I can’t pull this workshop off. I do still have a personal holiday left…

~Larry

Well then by golly Larry take it!!!
Byll will be there. He doesn’t have near as long a trip as us so he can bring the coffee to keep us goin!!!
I really don’t think we would need the coffee though. I saw on another post where Wendy is going to teach us lots of stuff I think I know nothing about! I can’t wait!

Yippee!!!

Kathy

I hope to see both of you at the workshop, Larry and Kathy…Lots to be learned. Lots of distant friends to meet, in person.
Cheers.
Byll
