No, silly, not vinyl for making whistles – I mean the 33 RPM sort of vinyl.
I have a huge collection of excellent classic ITM and other traditional music LPs from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s that I need to clear out of my basement to make room for more important stuff, like moldy old accordions and concertinas, and music students (go ahead, have fun with it - they don’t read this forum anyway).
Yes, I would keep every single one if I had the shelf space, but you should only see this mess. . .
Many whistle & flute titles, many imports, probably much of it unavailable on CD although I haven’t researched this, and I don’t have time to get all these transferred to CD for my own use. I’ve started listing some of them on eBay - please see listings under seller klezmusic – you could start with a classic Seamus Ennis LP at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4027191768
It’s going to take a long time, selling one LP at a time over eBay or Amazon.com. If any of you like to collect vinyl, send me an email OFF THE FORUM and we’ll discuss details. DO NOT POST your reply to the forum, as Dale will just delete it and I won’t get to see it.
