Whistle to sell - advice needed.

Hello. I am just finishing lunch.
I thought I might sell a whistle but I don’t know which one.
I currently have

Syn lancewoods C and Bb
Syn all alum. C# and B
Sweet D maple
These are my concert/recording standard instruments.
Thats 5 so far.

Then I’ve got a Generation F by the computer.
A Walton C in my car
and a Generation Eb in my wife’s car.
These are three more and they are handy where I keep them.

That makes eight ( 8 ).
I like all these whistles very much.

Can anyone give me advice
on how to acquire a desire to sell one of my whistles ?
Its not that I need the money.
Its just that - well - it seems to be fashionable to be selling things on these forums.
I just want to fit in.

So any advice would be appreciated.

thanxalot.

Well…

You could just buy the ones people are selling on the forums.

That way you could play an integral part in the entire process…

not feel left out…

and not feel guilty about abandoning your whistles…

(Which quite honestly probably have done nothing to deserve that kind of treatment)

AND they would have new playmates.

Everyone is happy and the circle of life is complete.

See how easy that was?

I want to help you feel accepted here, Tal. So in the interest of helping you out, not that I have any interest at all in getting a Syn Bb, but just to help you be fashionable, you should sell me that lancewood Bb for $5, including shipping to the US.

I’m here to help.

Remember,
Some of us just unload instruments we aren’t playing any more in order to buy more instruments that strike our fancy.

I’ve gotten rid of several whistles, and bought several. Now, I could go collecting and never shedding my collection. However, I have a house payment, a family to feed, a serious addiction to video games to finance…

Since I’m not a professional, I have to sell one if I want something new. I just can’t justify not doing so any more. The only whistle I wish I could have kept forever was my Blackwood Thin Weasel, but that caused signifigant damage to my lungs, so I’m better off without it (and I’m sure David is happy to have it).

The Walton. Sell it.

This was my first thought as I finished reading your message. Primarily because I was distracted by a co-worker as I was reading your message, and read “A Walton C in my ear.”

I was multitasking; reading your message, and listening to a co-worker’s question and answering said question simultaneously. I came to the end of answering the co-workers question and reading your message at the same time.

The co-worker said “thanks” and my brain said “why would anyone keep a whistle in their ear?” Since that is the whistle without a proper storage place, I recommend selling it.

Aw, come on, Tal. You fit in just fine without going to extremes. Keep your whistles and just be that wonderfully unique (and apparently rebel) person that you are. No worries!

Dear Blackbird
I would not part with my Syn Bb whistle
even if you paid me 300 US$.
I wanted advice not monetary inducements.
Why, if I was wanting money I am sure any one
of my whistles would pay a fortune to see the last of me.
Don’t you get it? Its about control.
See?

Are they behaving themselves now?

My wife has reported that they behave perfectly well when I am not around.

Isn’t that about the most you have ever offered on a whistle? You must want this one! :open_mouth:

Hey, I was willing to go all the way up to $6. It’s not like I was asking him to give it to me.
