Whistle tech

I’d like to find someone in the Washington, D.C., USA area that works on whistles. Doing things like re-corking tenons, adding thumbholes, tweaking tuning, etc. There are alot of whistle players around here but are there any whistles “techs”.–Thanks, Randy Small.

They might not know anything about tweaking, but a good woodwind repair shop can recork tenons.
You don’t need a thumb hole

Yes I know some good woodwind techs in this area but it would be nice to find someone that worked on whistles, even if it was just a sideline to their regular work. But corking tenons shouldn’t be a problem for any good tech. As for thumbholes, the genie is out of the bottle. I’ve been using them on all of my whistles for about eight months now and consider them standard equipment.
