Whistle Sound Font

For those of you who know how to use 'em, and have hardware that supports this, I’ve made a sound font of a Dixon soprano D. You can check it out here:

In case you're not familiar with them, a sound font is a representation of an instruments sound, that can be 'played' using via a MIDI controller (usually keyboards) or MIDI file. So by installing this on my computer, then hooking up my yamaha keyboard to it, when I play on the yamaha, I get whistle sounds.

I know that the sound blaster live and sound blaster audigy sound cards support this, but I don't know what other hardware does.

Yay! A whistle soundfont! I use soundfonts a lot with Cakewalk Sonar. They’re really nice when you want an authentic sound. Now if I could only find a good U. pipes soundfont. Actually, I’d like to find a source for all celtic instruments on sounfont.

A whistle sound font! Very cool! Thanks a bunch, Tinker!

Glad to hear ya like that stuff. If any of you find any problems in it, or any wacky behavior, drop me an email, b/c I intend to refine it a bit more before I’m done with it.
