I was at Barnes and Noble book store today browsing. (Spent too much money while I was at it, by the way.) Flipping through this photo book called Spectacular Ireland (part of a Spectacular series)- pretty nice in that the photos are full paged of vistas and whatnot. The last section titled People shows this close up of these musicians playing in front of the Cliffs of Moher. Two guys in their 60’s in suits and tweed hats, one on a fiddle, the other on the weirdest whistle I’ve ever seen. Looked like a cross between a flutafone recorder and a ?whistle?. Black plastic mouthpiece, chrome colored tube wide at the face end and belled out at the opposite end. Maybe it was an optical illusion. Are there black/chrome conical Sweetones or Clarkes or something?

Sounds like they are Paddy and John Killourhy, John plays Ralph Sweet’s these days but he always had an unusual taste, whistlewise.
How could they play music there? When I was there I could just barely stand up and walk against the wind. It must have been blowing 40 or 50 knots.
