Hey guys, I will be near Schenectady tomorrow and Thursday, Clifton Park to be exact. Are there any whistle shops out that way?
You’re in luck, if you’re willing to travel a bit. Andys Front Hall is in Altamont, and they carry several types of whistle from Generation, to an occasional Weasel . Also tons of tunebooks, and just about every traditional recording ever made, from bluegrass to folk, etc. I think their URL is andysfronthall.com
If you go North to Saratoga, there is a Celtic store right on the main street ( I forget the exaact name, but the word Celtic is in it). Many Celtic gifts etc plus a gooe selection of whistles including( lasst time I was there) Weasels in wood and PVC, Chieftains, Sweet, Generation, etc). Saratoga is a terrific town to visit, if you’ve never been there.
Hey! What are you going to be in Clifton Park for? My sister is there right now, training at the General Electric Plant?Univeristy thing there…
Anyway, thanks for the tips about Celtic Stores…
Next time I go down to visit!
Nico
Just remembered-- the shop in Saratoga is Celtic Treasures.
Thanks for the info! I didn’t see your message till after I came back, but hopefully I will be back down there. (I went down for a job interview)
