Looks like a great bunch of whistles! Just a little too many for me (I’m still getting a kick out of the ones Doc sent me)…though I was debating bidding just to get the shaw.
I would be happy to take a look at the tweaked Shaw and the tweaked Generation in that group to see if they need a tuneup or can be improved over the original tweaking. No charge, of course. I don’t do tweaked Shaws any more, so that’s a rare item.
I happen to have a Jerry Freeman tweaked shaw whistle in d sitting in my closet not getting any use. Bought it at Ederly music in Lansing, MI when I was living there, and never got around to playing it. I also have a regular low D shaw that isn’t getting any use if anyone is interested. Would rather have them in the hands of someone that will do somthing with them. Send an email or pm and I can send pics and details and such. Otherwise keep an eye out on ebay, probably where they will end up.
I don’t tweak low D Shaws because the windway metal construction prevents certain adjustments, but the offer I made earlier in this thread stands for any tweaked Shaw I’ve done. I’ll be happy to go over any Freeman tweaked Shaw that’s out there at no charge.
I wonder what happened? Someone with good intentions to learn how to play the whistle and gave up too easily. I´ve got tons of stuff I bought - mostly books and sheet music - that I once had the good intention to read or play. I´ll probably be retired before I get around to cope with the situation. I wish I had the guts to sell all the stuff, because every time I see a book I´ve never read or a pice of sheet music I´ve never played it nags me.
