Some of you know I’ve made soft padded tool-roll style Whistle Rolls for various people. Over time, they have evolved and been improved. The latest is that Anna is testing my pattern for them. I’m still willing to sew them for you, but I’m thinking about offering my ideas and methods for a small compensation, so if you want to make one yourself you can. Since Anna is homebound, I’m making up at kit to go with the pattern and might consider that as well.
I would be interested in hearing from you (EMAIL ONLY- please help me comply with board rules) if you might be interested in a Whistle Roll, pattern or kit. The pattern won’t be ready for several weeks, but contact me anyway so I can see how many we might be looking at.
You think we need to post warnings for those unaware of how addicting beading can get? Gee, and all they are is little glass beads…and I have a boxes full which almost fills a closet of unfinished projects, most of them I fluffed, or just plain didn’t like. Did I ever tell you about the time I almost made a living making keychains…
No Anna you didnt, Somehow that seems like it would be kinda hard making a living from beading keychains. Kari made a picture of a wolf’s eyes for me. Absolutly jaw dropping
If I can wheedle Kari into bringing home the digital camera I’ll take a pic of it and send it to you.
That would be great, Dan. I’d love it! I’m having visions of Mick luggin’ this whistle case that looks and weighs like an old fashioned beaded parfleche! Stop me before I buy again! Argh! This is about whistles, not beads! Stop me!
As for the key chains, it was fun. My buddy, the pow-wow trader, gave me the materials and I cranked out those dang things for five bucks each…got some weird callouses, too! That was the only employment I could find when I was in chemo! I still like to help out friends with give-aways, I think my sight is fading, so I can’t do it as much as I used to! Maybe, I should…stop me! stop me! Please!

I bet one of the whistle rolls done in the fabric of a tartan would look great. Especially if it had some sort of tassle like one sees on some pipes.
I know, I know. . .Irish tinwhistle forum not bagpipes. Anyway I just visualized it and it looks decent in my head. Of course so did my idea for the Ford Edsel.
