Whistle Physics

Can somebody tell me
If I have make two whistles with the same length but different bore diameters do the tone holes on the smaller bore move up since the node on the fundamental moves up?
I’m just utterly confused about bore sizes.
Help
Please

Well, I’ve noticed that the holes on a conical bore whistle are sized and spaced a bit differently than on a cylindrical bore, but that’s about all I can tell you…

Whistles do not work by physics. They work by magic…

And in some cases they physicaly don’t work

Here’s a link to a page explaining how fipples work: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/kadima/fipple.htm

This link is to a spreadsheet that calculates hole placement. I have verified it’s accuracy building 4 whistles. http://www.dbeweb.com/kayak/Downloads/recorder11.exe

On the above spreadsheet, you can vary the finger hole radius values and observe how the finger placement changes. The sheet is only for cylindrical bores and not tapered bores.
