I turned the TV on for a bit to see any recent news this morning and caught some of Natalie McMaster and her band performing. On one of the tunes the Scottish bagpipes player put down his pipes and pulled out a whistle! It was a slow air, it sounded like, and really pretty…he played a cool harmony to her fiddle tune really well. Unfortunately I didn’t catch more than a glimpse so I don’t know what kind of whistle it was, other than it looked silver-colored. And they broke for commercial after a few seconds of the tune (which I found to be very annoying! The one tune with whistle playing and they don’t show much of it!) Anyway, I am glad I saw it.
