Whistle construction - Percentages for holes?

Hello all,

There used to be a website that I used that automatically calculated the distances for each hole on the whistle, after inputting details about the tube diameter etc, and I found this really useful, but due to a technical problem, I have lost the site.

Can anyone help refresh my memory as I would really like to finish my new whistle. I am using 22mm copper piping for the body.

Not sure what site you may have had in mind but here are a few that might get you started looking in the right direction.

Yes, let us know! One thing to keep in mind with these calculators is that they assume certain values for “end corrections” and “tone hole efficiency”, etc.. Few of us could make whistles that match those assumed factors. You may still have to do some adjusting but they give you a good start. And it sure beats doing the calculations long-hand.

You’ll need to actually host them online somewhere, then you can use the “Img” button when you’re typing your post (above the text box) to frame the image link.
