Anyone know a good case or bag for whistles? I found something on eBay, also some sleeves on the net, but I’m really looking for something that will hold 3 or maybe even more whistles at a time.

As for me, I have a leather hand-made recorder case, wich is big enough to keep 3 whistles at once

Another good idea is to ask for drumstick case in music shop.
I bought one that was on eBay, from a company that makes a lot of different kinds of bags, and I didn’t think it was very well made. I was a bit disappointed.
Are you looking for bag to keep them togather or something harder that will protect them?

Yes, Annie’s handcrafted whistle cases are beautiful. Two other suggestions:
Michael Burke sells a nice whistle roll-up for $40. The outside is durable black leatherette, and the inside is fully lined. The 8 slots from wide to narrow hold a variety of whistles. I carry a whole set from low G to high G in mine.

An inexpensive pistol case makes a nice hard case. The eggcrate foam inside cushions the instruments, and a case like this one can carry 3 or 4 whistles up to around a low A.

It might be easiest to create your own by either making something from scratch or converting another bag–that way you can make sure it meets your needs. I looked for a good whistle case for a while, but I crocheted my whistle a “sweater.”
I will vouch for the bags made by Kate Lozier at Tuffbags, selling as Racheltreasures on eBay. I have a half dozen or more of her bags - one for aluminum Burkes, one for brass Burkes, one for low D and C Burkes, one for Water Weasels, one for session whistles, etc. You get the idea. They do a good job of protecting the whistles and Tuffbags can make anything you want. The website where you can see it all is at
All the other suggestions are good ones too. Joanie Madden uses a Sassafrass Grove whistle bag, great stuff there. I have a very nice drumstick bag which works and was quite inexpensive. I use pistol cases for my flutes too. Tool rolls can be used as well, especially those made for longer chisels. If you need a hard case, lengths of PVC pipe can be used as can fly- fishing rod cases.

Someone commissioned Annie to make one out of terry cloth. It looked nice. No reason you couldn’t do the same yourself if you are handy with a sewing machine or needle and thread. Wash the towel first, though.
I use pool cue cases.
I get the Latched ones (as opposed to the ones that the cue slides into), it holds both my Low D whistles and my Feadog High D comfortably. Felt lined, hard cased.
As an added benefit, the cases, though sturdy and rugged are also compact, making for an easy transport.

This one is very similar to what I use.
What length whistes do you have? I have several of the Tuffbags and they are quality bags for the money. I’m not using all of them now and could part with one or two if you are interested.

Drum stick bags work very well and only cost around $15.00. 
I also had a Tuffbags case and would recommend them. I think I had one that held three whistles. I’ve just been to their site and I remember them having a lot more variety for whistle bags; maybe they haven’t gotten round to listing new stock.
I also made a case for my laughing whistle by getting a length of PVC pipe and lining the inside with fleece and the outside with denim. Made a little cap out of denim for the open end. It has worked brilliantly for the past six years with no problems, other than occasionally losing the cap!
I have two of these and I like them fine. Worth a look.

If you’re looking for something special and custom, then Annie makes great bags (mine is the one on the site lower right corner, green leather). If you’re looking for soemthing really practical, drum stick bags are the best I’ve found, because you can easily put other stuff in them like small field recorders, sheet music, etc. Simple cloth rollups with slots for soprano D or smaller are really cool; you can make your own or have someone make it (Annie does these too, I believe).
